Thank to the official Transformers: the Last Knight Snapchat account - and the hard work of
D-Maximus_Primal - we have some images from the set of Michael Bay's movie, featuring the returning Barricade with his 'to punish and enslave' motto, the crew hat with the movie Optimus Prime head logo, and a potential teaser at a fire truck character, who might just be actually part of the safety crew instead. Check them out below!

Remember last week when we posted some potential
plot spoilers and you were told to take them with a grain of salt? Well, a part of those rumors appears to have gained a little more traction.

The
Transformers Twitter page posted a behind-the-scenes 15 second video, and within that video Mark Walhberg is shown taking a nap with Micheal bay impatiently waiting for him to wake up. But as the camera man passes by Bay, an interesting exchange takes place, where the man behind the camera says:
"Hey Bay, I got Squeaks"
and Bay responds:
"Hey, Squeaks. Wait for Mark Wahlberg to wake up."
As the rumor stated last week, there is a new character with the name "Squeaks" so is this confirmation of this part of the rumor? Check out the video on their Twitter page by clicking

Fellow Seibertronian
Tyrannacon has dropped in a link from
JoBlo.com concerning a number of Transformers: The Last Knight casting and plot points. As far as we know, a lot of this is speculation and rumour, but the source has proven itself correct during
Age of Extinction, so there may be fair grounds to talk about here! Find below a summary of the key points, and head
here for the full piece.
If, and it's a fairly big if, any of this is true, we do have to warn you about the spoiler nature of the post! So have a buffer first.

?
- Optimus Prime is headed for Cybertron, and will have to revive it using an artifact
- Artifact has something to do with Merlin (from King Arthur lore), magic and Transformers
- Bumblebee is now in a leadership role on Earth
- Hound, Crosshairs, and Drift are returning and are based in South Dakota
- Also returning are Dinobots, plus... "mini-dinobots" (??)
- Three new Transformers characters will feature, with a generic British background/accent: The Creator, an Aston Martin Cogman, a Vespa Squeaks
- Megatron will be back as a jet fighter
Will Anthony Hopkins voice one of the three new characters? Is he The Creator? Does the sword in the new title logo the artifact? How much science-is-magic will we see? Speculate away in the Energon Pub!

One of the pieces of news coming out of the Tokyo Toy Fest 2016, and a little overshadowed by the Masterpiece Cheetor reveal, concerns the Legends series and a potential godly addition. According to Twitter user
tagoal, we might be seeing a heavy remold of the Leader Powermaster Prime, already a retool of Ultra Magnus. Machine translation of the tweets say the following:
Development in the Japan Edition ginrai!!
It something considerably different from the power master op ginrai?!
Redesign of the cab, ginrai, breast changes, changes, arms and legs are different and such?!
Which seem to suggest that chest, cab, arms and legs of the figure will be modified to get close to the big robot mode, including something happening to the Titanmaster feature to accommodate the Ginrai character. Are we to see the Godbomber directly? Let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

Fellow Seibertronians, hot on the heels of the image of the new military Autobot, we bring you news from
deezy_ftw on Instagram of a mysterious new vehicle that, while not bearing an obvious faction symbol - is toting around a lot of junk, could this be a certain fan favorite Junkion? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Since posting a very small
news story in the Comics section - about the role of ROM the Spaceknight in IDW's REVOLUTION crossover event - we've been mulling over this piece from
Forbes, in which the author links the new The Last Knight font with ROM's traditional one in the Marvel comics.
Several Seibertronians have thrown around a comment about ROM being the titular Last Knight in jest, but thinking about it - is it not possible that this is indeed the beginning of the
wider Hasbro universe? Why the sudden change in fonts? Why does
Galvatron/Megatron look like a Dire Wraith - ROM's main antagonists in the comics - made out of metal?
While we're at it, compare the tagline in the image below, with the one used for the
Morse code teaser, 'Something Wicked This Way Comes'. And remember the creators?
As the author of the Forbes piece says, there are some parallels in the visual - but is that where it stops? According to
Chris Ryall, definitely maybe. Check out more below, and rev your speculation engines in the Energon Pub!
As I said before: “we know
Hasbro has movie plans for Rom, the old Parker Brothers toy that was one of the first action figures to include electronic lights and sounds. He’s slated to be part of a shared cinematic universe that will also include the Micronauts, G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., and the Visionaries. It was assumed that Transformers would stay out of it, having previously announced plans for a spin-off universe of their own, and generally not needing the help. Even Age of Extinction, the lowest-grossing Transformers movie domestically (besides the animated one from the ’80s), raked in $1.1 billion worldwide, while the last G.I. Joe movie pulled in a ‘mere’ $375 million internationally. And yet: isn’t that how Marvel launched their cinematic universe? Using the popular character to segue into the riskier ones?”
Even if Rom isn’t happening, his iconography is being used. And as Rom is the least-known to the casual toy collector – aside from some convention exclusives, he hasn’t had a proper action figure of his own in decades – he is the one who needs the biggest push.
It’s time to transform him for the modern world…and roll out.

Fellow Seibertronian ScottyP gave us a tip on a potential San Diego Comi Con 2016 Transformers / G.I. Joe crossover set reported by
GeneralJoes.com. The set would include a Rattler repainted as Powerglide with Scarlet and Soundwave as a H.I.S.S. Tank with Zartan. Images are from
ACToys.net.
The full set of images can be seen

Via the Facebook page/community
Transformers Cars, we have a look at a military vehicle which closely resembles Hound from Age of Extinction - though a little more trim. Indication that this may be a new alt-mode for the John Goodman character in The Last Knight come from the logo on the side of the vehicle, and the Decepticon-esque badges on the door. Check them out below, and speculate away in the Energon Pub!
