Why not stand him next to ER Prime
He looks like an amazing value as it is.

Because ER Prime is Voyager sized while this one is Deluxe just like all the other figures he's being compared to.

"Deluxe", "voyager", "leader", all mean jackshit size-wise in these days and age. A comparison with ER Optimus would still be valid.

But in this case he's supposed to be a small Prime figure so he's being shown with other small Prime figures. We'll probably get a larger one later.

The point would be to see how small/big it is. A comparison to ER Prime and the old Classic mold would have been nice to see.

This means nothing to me and probably the majority of the Transformers fan base. Don't have any idea what the size of the characters compared are. Should have put it with current figures since the size of deluxe have changed several times in the past and are not just price points. You can have a deluxe size figure listed as voyager because of accessories. So try comparing this Prime with the Earthrise and Earthspark versions. And you can never go wrong with a comparison to the original G1 Prime.

With Optimus Prime Upgrade action. Chest armor and a sword.

No real useful articulation below the chest apparently.

The Transformers One toyline will mostly be gimmick figures, either one steps or the type that can battle eachother Rock’m Sock’m Robots style, but there will be some more traditional deluxes as well.
Those are called Prime Changers and so far we saw Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion. We knew there would be more but due to the use of code names, we didnt know which other characters it would be. Well, after getting all the recent product descriptions, which you can read below, we now can associate the code names and we now know that Sentinel Prime and Bumblebee will get Prime Changer (deluxe) figures as well. Bumblebee was a no brainer but it’s cool to see Sentinel Prime getting so much love in this line.
We see from other toys that this version of Sentinel Prime turns into a cybertronian jet. He is the blue and gold bot in the trailer. We do not have an image for these two toys yet.

Below are all the product descriptions and images of what we have seen for this line so far outside of Prime Changers.

Having that one big eye/camera on the front of Airachnid's alt makes it look like she turns into a new model of Tarantulas's Arachnoids.

Waiting to see if any of her other TF One toys can top Night Countess. Weeks after the trailer drop, and I still can't believe she's getting this much official love.

Airachnid's robot suck, but her vehicle/beast mode ROCK. I'm looking forward a SS/mainline deluxe of her.

As for that big-ass Optimus Prime, I find brilliant that he have a Orion Pax mode, even if that Orion may have eaten too much pizza and Cheetos.

Hm. I can't speak for others, but as a more 'mature' collector, I don't find these kiddie-style offerings appealing. Even if there are a few decently advanced figures in the mix, there's probably going to be so much romper-room level stuff that I may not bother. The same thing happened with the TF Prime/Robots In Disguise line, the Cyberverse line, the Rescue Bots line, Earthspark, and now this one. So far it doesn't look like I'll find much in the "ONE" line that motivates me to collect.

You're not forced to "collect". If there's just a single ONE of those who might be fun and original, it may be nice to get. Like for me, I may get that big "triple changer" Optimus if it ever happen to be on sale.

That's how I roll for these lines.

That's only logical, no? Since these are made for a very specific target audience that is not us, we won't find them appealing.

A lot of new Transformers One toys were revealed today. This line is bringing back a lot of gimmicks that a lot of their audience was not around for then. For instance, we have Botshots of Optimus and Megatron, which are the TRANSFORMERS ONE RACE CHANGERS 2-PACK and the TRANSFORMERS ONE RACE AND BLAST 2-PACK which is a throwback to the Deployer gimmick from Robots in Disguise (2015).
There are many more toys, some for very little kids, like a non converting Optimus figure that goes from "no cog" to "cog" mode and some that even collectors may like, such as the High Commander Quintesson figure which turns into an organic looking space ship. That Quintesson toy will be a Walmart exclusive. Actually all the toys below are exclusives to either Walmart or Target. Be sure to read the product description below the images to see which toys are exclusive to which store if you are interested. As these are for parents and younger kids, there may not be preorders for any of these.

Not to mention the retooled RID 2015 Overload mold that they used for Megatron.

Funny coincidence, that original RID 2015 1-step Blur was among the toys I sent to my 3rd cousins 2 states away during the lockdown, and because I included that cheap SHOUT! DVD of the first 8 G1 eps, I also included a note to repurpose him into Mirage, so they'd have as much of the class of 1984 as possible. Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought it looked just as much like either character.

If they also repaint RID 1-step Bumblebee into TF ONE Sunstreaker, I'll be genuinely freaked out.

This line should be similar to the ROTB and have aboth TF:ONE line and SS Deluxe options. Hopefully unlike ROTB they'll actually be sold in the US.

The Bot Shot repaints are really cool to see and I will absolutely get them because I really like that original run of toys and would like to get them to add to the collection.

Also really dig the one step 3 pack. That price point has never really been my thing, but it's differently a line that has it's charm and that 3 pack does look like a great addition to it.

That Quintesson actually looks cool!

Botshots in the year of our lord 2024? cool!

RiD2015 Overload is doing a fantastic job acting as Megatron.

That Optimus figure also looks cool.

I wish Mirage was not in a 3-pack, I am actually intrigued and entertained by him.

Shame so much of this is Walmart exclusive, I basically didn't see the RotB walmart exclusives.

If we are getting Sentinel Prime in SS, I would wager that the Quint is going to be Leader size based on the size difference in the trailer. That will give Hasbro some space to make it a good, detailed figure, hopefully. And, honestly, I will be okay if the Quints don't transform like they kind of forced the Netflix Trilogy figure to do as long as it is detailed, scaled, and poseable.

I dunno, the product description calls it a "Warrior Class", which have all be Deluxe sized since the class's debut in RID 2015.

For this one, yes. But hopefully not for SS. I'd like to be able to replicate the scene with the Quint holding Sentinel.

I dunno, the product description calls it a "Warrior Class", which have all be Deluxe sized since the class's debut in RID 2015.

He was being hypothetical about Studio Series.

Megs is a Bakugan fan? Who new.

The Quintesson looks interesting in its flight mode.

That Ultimate Prime is just bad in vehicle mode, though robot mode is pretty cool.

That's kinda crazy, I still see all three at my local stores, though the last time I saw Prime (last Sunday) he was missing half his chest.

They were here. Those and the beast mode figures were the only ones I saw at walmart.

Never saw all those exclusive repaints, except for battletrap at Ross

Pretty sure those were only available at that type of store, not major retailers. Looking back I'm surprised Amazon didn't get any exclusives.
