First off, it's everyone's favorite TV-watching Junkion warrior, deluxe RTS Wreck-Gar. This update of the original G1 figure features Wreck-Gar's asymmetrical, mismatched body parts, the wheel shield on his arm, and his signature goatee. So if you've found yourself an itch to scratch and are ready to dare to be stupid, check out his gallery HERE.
Next up, it's the modern update of everyone's favorite Autobot scientist Perceptor. While this version of the character features a somewhat controversial, half-track truck alt mode that's a big departure from the G1 microscope, his robot mode is a perfect update of the original figure, right down to the dials on his arms. Click HERE to see the full gallery for deluxe RTS Perceptor.
Optimus Prime is next but for the RTS line, it's a update of his G2 persona. While this new deluxe figure doesn't come with a trailer and features painted flames suspiciously like those on the live action movie version, there's no mistaking that long nosed cab or shoulders for anyone other than his G2 self. To see the gallery for RTS Optimus Prime (G2), click HERE.
And last up, it RTS Bumblebee. This figure is a repaint of the original Classics/Henkei release with a new, movie-inspired paint job. Click HERE to check out deluxe RTS Bumblebee.

With the G2 Optimus Gallery, I was really hoping to see the green tank version of Megatron in here from the first Classics line, since he's modeled after the G2 version of Megatron. Love the toy though, and I'll have to grab it.
Good work on the shots.

a little off topic.. in regards to kups gallery.. isn't it really obvious that the forearm panels spin around?

I guess I'm just dreaming.

They are spun around in the gallery, just like the instructions show.

I just cannot get over G2 Prime's head. It's not that it's a bad sculpt, it's just not Optimus Prime. It kinda looks reminicient of IDW's ongoing series before the artwork became more traditional.
G2 Prime shall be on my shelves, but insetad I think he'll be either Micromaster Overload or G2 Staxx, not sure yet.

For Perceptors Microscope mode, looking pretty sweet, but is there allowance for the treads to hinge down so that the tracks are flat on the floor? with some clearance where it could believably be mobile?
As for Wreckgar, is there a way to switch the left and right shoulders with each other so that the wheel symmetry is better in bot mode, WITHOUT hindering the vehicle mode if left that way after being transformed back to bike mode?

First WFC Soundwave Boombox mode, now Perceptor microscope mode. Nice work. I can't wait for mine to arrive. They all still stuck at east coast due to the rough weather there.

Ack. Can't believe I forgot to do that. I'll pull out ol' Megs for some comparison pics later this weekend. Those pics should definitely be in the gallery. Thank you for pointing that out.

thanks, Mkall. I agree about Prime's head. Something is just off with it. Not a proper Prime head in myo opinion either. But I don't think the figure's as bad overall as people have been panning on it. It's poseable, has some clever transformations, and even has a molded matrix in his chest (there's a pic of it in the gallery in case you missed it). Plus the sword is pretty cool, and the fact that it's got a port for a trailer (hello 3rd party company), it's an overall pretty good figure.
I apologize if the blues in this gallery seem a little off. I bought a new camera a month ago (can you believe it's already been 4 years since my camera was destroyed in NYC while I was waiting for Jet Blue to figure out their flights after that major Noreaster, right after toy fair, and all of you guys chipped in for a new camera?) so I'm still learning how to use this camera. This newer Sony handles light a little differently than my older Sony, plus it's got a bunch of new options for me to play with.

First off i wanna say that i really like Wreck-Gar & Perceptor, G2 Prime not really caring for and BumbleBee looks more like an KO in that orange-ish color variation than his previous colors of pure yellow, may have to resort to United line for another Bee if i decide i want him....again.

Also, if you spin them around so that they look better in robot mode (which is what I think you're implying), it severely limits his arm poseability, particularly with the forearms.

I can jump in here. It turns out that where the hinges and joints are on Perceptor, I don't think you can point the treads in that direction. It's also a bummer that the shoulder scope can't really be spun around in a better way. I have an idea that I think will look a little better, but I'm not sure it will work until I get home and check out my perceptor. If it works, I'll take a pic and post it here.

I'm almost positive this isn't possible. Again, I'll check this when I get home. Besides, in the movie his tires are on the same side. His right leg is huge and helps offset the imbalance.

Awesome galleries by the way!! good work!

My biggest gripe since they decided to reduce the number of voyagers in a line is the size.
He should have been the same size as voyager Classics Prime/Henkei convoy. I have Black Convoy and even though this G2 Prime is awesome he is just a tad small. even my Knight Annihilator is the same size as Classics Prime.
why HasTak, why? Prime is supposed to have size and stature...ok?

Right on dude, if you discover any further improvements i'd love to see em either here, or the "Things your TFs can do that you didn't know" thread. I haven't got any new figures yet, still waiting in my pile of loot.
Yea I was curious if the arm cannon on perceptor could rotate so that its completely center over the head. I'm not too bugged by Wreck-gar's wheels in bot mode, just curious. And since your trying stuff out, I was also wondering if you could take the clip system peg out of the melee weapon, and switch it with the wheel itself, so that the wheel's ball joint attaches to the weapon directly.

The black stripes are looking much better than the silver on Bee in my opinion. I can't wait to get him.
I may get Perceptor, and I think Wreck-Gar is a definite pass. He just looks ugly to me.

First, Wreck Gar. Normal bot mode:
Arm switch. You'll notice how the forks and shocks are now on the front of the arm:
Now. There's a problem because the forks are now in the wrong orientation when trying to transform:
I switched the arm back so you can see the forks in the right orientation:
This pic from Seibertron shows the forks in the right orientation:
Finally, I can tell you that the ball joint for the arm wheel is not the same size as the clip ball joint. (My picture didn't come out.)
Now, on to Perceptor. The following pics I think show a slightly better Microscope mode, no offense to Seibertron's wonderful, wonderful galleries (also, once again my apologies on orientation):
And here is a pic of the joints inside the leg:
I did try to take a pic with the treads down. I think this looks really, really awful. Plus it's out of balance tipping backwards (or towards the front of the truck.
I don't think any microscope mode will do as well as Soundwave's WFC boombox transformation. I hope these pics are serviceable. When my wife gets home with our nice camera (took these with my cell phone) I might try to do a few better of Perceptor.
Posted by MINDVVIPE on February 4th, 2011 @ 5:05pm CST
Seems like your microscope mode is superior (no offence ryan ) except for the fact that I would want the arm cannon to be able to point downwards, as if attending to some welding, but I think you were spinning it as if the arm cannon was a looking glass... sucks for the Decepticon who accidently attempts a view, haha.
The way I was thinkin for the treads was to have the shorter (lesser) surface area on the floor opposed to the longer, so from what you guys have done > rotated 90*. Might not work either, since this would mean you have to move the feet away to allow for it.
Thanks for the pics and effort dude. I bet these are the first pics to start circling the net regarding perceptors miscroscope mode.

As far as the shoulder cannon, I do agree with you. I'd prefer to have the point going down. If I turn the light bar around, then I get a pic that looks like Seibs already did. I can't find a way to get the gun to point downward.

Still.....it's a convincing enough microscope mode. Good job. Now just a matter of getting that light cannon in the right position.

Total shot in the dark here; maybe there is some way to bring Perceptor's windshield into play? like bringing it over to cover perceptors head, make the windshield look less like kibble... I dont know, haha. I NEED MY OWN PERCEPTOR ALREADY, DAMNIT TFSOURCE.

Would you say Hasbro's Wreck-gar is more brownish red or red? I've seen pictures of him in several different shades.

I would definitely say he's more brown than red. He's one of my favorites of the new line. I gotta find another one to have him ride on.
Wife got home. I'll take more pics of Perceptor. I have an idea for the cannon mode from the original G1 too.

Killa killa, Yea, I remember reading somthing about a hasbro junkion, scraphead or somthing, I forget. We will get another junkion that is different in paint and head, I'm sure.

Okay, aside from my initial look, here is another one. I think this looks a little too much like the bug microscope from RotF, though.
The shoulder laser does pivot. It's just that it gets stopped by anatomy. I moved it off to the side so you all can see the pivot point and how the whole mount swivels away from the head opening.
Maybe this is the best compromise to get a decent looking microscope. Just make sure you don't put your eye out...

Not that i hadn't already thought that when i had him on his own but now that i have the second figure in bike form and the two are "combined", the EPICNESS that is Wreck-Gar is unparalleled so far.
Just do yourself the favor and get two Wreck-Gars if you can. IT was too hard for me to wait for Scrapheap. Prolly won't see him till next year.

Ahrrrr, a big typo there. It's 9, not 8.
Yeah, just read that. If there is no sense, might think about custom made one.....
