This is not his first TF comicwork since G2 though. He did several covers for Titan's reprints of old Marvel UK material, as well as a cover or two for the Panini UK Armada comic from a few years back.
Geoff mostly works in advertising these days, so appartently he has to find time for these things in-between his "normal" job

BTW, the subscribe link on Titan's site doesn't seem to work yet -- they're looking into it. I think it might be that ExpressMag have some database problems right now. Currently shows '24' rather than Transformers.

Agreed. I like his style, but that preview pic leaves a lot to be desired.

The problem should have been resolved. Clear your cache like I did and it
works!
Sadly, no, it will most definitely not be available in the USA. But I'm sure
ebay will help.
...but I'm sure people on boards will do their best to set up supply chains. I'd offer, but I'm doing reservations myself (will be out of the country for a few months soon-ish.)

NNNNNOOOOOOOOooooo! Was so hoping that this would be easy. Oh well, guess I'll just have to open up an account to start a comic fund.

(Alignment is available online here if anyone's wondering what we're talking about. There's a neat Megatron / Decepticons shot on page 26, as an example to check out.)

Try e-mailing Steve at http://www.oneshallstand.com, he'll be able to sort something out for you guys.
I love Senior's work but unfortunately it's on the Bayformers shite so I won't be buying it.

Yeah, that's a thought -- it's not through Diamond, but I imagine he'll try to get it in anyway for domestic customers, so it's a good bet for international as well.
I'll drop him a line, see what info we can round up...

If you ever acquire a taste for it, check out 2000AD or Keith Giffen when he's feeling sketchy.

I thought he co-created Death's Head with Simon Furman.

Yes. Furman created the character. Senior created the design.

Put it this way, Furman's name is on an upcoming You Can Draw TFs book as author -- I'd really like to see him try some of the techniques...

Yes, that would be very interesting!

They needed someone like this working with the movie bots to simplify the look. 'Cause lets face it--these guys usually look so complicated that it's hard to tell one apart from another.

The guy's a Transformers legend, and illustrated some of the best TF comic stories ever put into print. Show some respect.

Yes, he did illustrate some of the best TF comic stories. For instance, that pic you posted is done very well. It was effective for the Marvel TF comics back in the day. Though, compared to some of the artwork produced by the DW and IDW artists, it doesn't quite impress me for use in modern works.

Geoff Senior IS my favorite Transformers artist. There's something so unique and special about his drawings. I am so impressed that his artwork has pretty much stayed the same over the past 20 years. I love what appears as the simplicity of his drawings and the cartoon type style. I tire of the over dramatic extremely complex designs that current artists seems to spill into their work. Perhaps that's why I like E.J. Su's art the best of the new crop ... he has an almost cartoon like style that reminds me of Senior's. Nick Roche is also growing on me ... especially after his Spotlight: Kup book. Same reason as E.J. Su and Geoff Senior.

exactly, seniors style is way more complex than it looks. theres always little things going on in the scene ancillary to the story. one of my favourit images of his was the deaths heads / FF issue. theres a lovely scene where he materalises on the roof of the baxter building and a roof tile practically explodes behind him to reveal a blaster training on him. with everything else in the pannel so calm it imparted a real sense of kinetic dynamism
in fact i'd go so far to say hes the most dynamic style of all artists stil out there. don figs work is beautiful no mistake but sometimes his storytelling is hard to follow (the end confrontation between prime and thunderwing for example in stormbringer) and he cant match the sheer violence of seniors stuff. his G2 work still stands as some of the best. i mean jesus i FELT prime being eaten alive in issue 12
thank god he took this gig, i cant wait to get this.

Grimshock wrote:Geoff Senior's art was the WORST. There's not a single TF artist I would rate lower. Even the Galvatron pic example is terrible. Co-creating Death's Head isn't an accomplishment either. It's another bad Furman decision. Legend? Respect? You gotta be kidding. As much as I'm upset with Lee, I'd rather he did TF's.
As do we all.
When people criticise Lee's art, they're usually pretty good at explaining, illustrating, adding examples, etc.
When people talk of lacking respect for him, they're generally referring to the on-record deception, defaulting on payments, ripping off people who might happen to be friends of theirs.
Whereas you seem to enjoy going off on tangents about people who are really very pleasant and law-abiding as if they'd deposited a dead puppy in front of you.
When Furman or Senior turn into deadbeats who defraud fellow creators or big themselves up as superstars at conventions, then might be an appropriate point to talk about lacking respect for them.
