I have been really good this year lining your coffers with my hard earned money. What I would really like for christmas are Generations Blurr, Generations Jazz, Generations Shockwave, and if it's not too much trouble, TFA Omega Supreme.
Thank you
NOTE: I know they are doing a Drift repaint for Blurr with a new head sculpt, I'm just a little disappointed with that thought
OK.... now that I've seen some photos, I am sold. I know I was hoping for a new mold, but this will do just fine

So far, it's Drift, Soundwave and Megatron that catch my attention. Blurr is cool, but not a definite buy.

No, my friend, this is merely a drop in the ocean. Don't forget they need to include more Classic Voyagers and possibly Leaders (Like a Classic Leader Class Optimus Prime/Megatron). Expect more figures to come!

I am pretty sure the Generations line was intended to be a deluxe class only line. But i agree, I would love to see some other classes thrown into the mix.

Anyhow, not really into non movie things but if there is some way Straxus can look movie-ish I may get him...

I'll probably end up getting him at some point, but I think I'll stick with TFA Blurr as the official Blurr of my "Classics" collection. He's the only TFA fig I think can pull off the crossover.

TFA Arcee looks okay if she's standing next to Classics Bumblebee - Their heads are the same size and their colors are both quite bright, which is a big part of what makes her seem odd next to the others.

Ok, but think about this; it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE that an entire line would only consist of Deluxes. It would be like having an egg sandwich that had only egg and nothing else, not even the bread.

Well, Machine Wars and the first Universe line only had two main retail classes: Deluxe and Mega/Ultra. I could see Generations only having one Class, since the rest is taken up by either PCC or HFTD.

WFC Megatron and Soundwave nice but again would rather wait for Takara's versions I just hope my love for Takara's stuff doesn't betray me though I'm sure they'll be available in late 2011 or sometime in 2012.
As for Generations Dirge it's nice to see him in accurate colors but again I prefer Takara's version now if Hasbro would have done like Takara and put the paint apps on both sides of his wings I would be all for this version but I'll still pick him up. Thrust is almost perfect if only they would have not used that damn movie color faction symbol it should have been purple or purple with a white background.
Now I really hope they do not release Thundercracker in the Generations line, all these characters that have been released are taking up spots for more characters they could have added in the classics line.

Plus, y'know, that part in the TFCC magazine where Matt Proulx from Hasbro said:
"When we made the decision to introduce the Generations line, we decided to keep the line focused on the Deluxe scale."

In the back right of the Straxus picture, you will see a blurred image of what looks to be the third mode you've been so eager to see.
Yay, ty ty ty. I owe you for that point-out there!

...Oh.
Guess I never heard of that. Although I really want to, I'm not a member of the TFCC.

The second thing is the way that the figure has the articulation ability to actually hold the sniper rifle by both the grip and side grip. I wonder if it will be able to hold the rifle in other positions as well?
The range of articulation in current TF figures is steadily improving and I'm quite happy about it! I've only recently picked up RotF Voyager Mindwipe and its articulation in bot mode is great, especially for its unorthodox body type and transformation design.

I was wondering the same thing when I saw the fig to Blurr's right. Is that Ratchet peeking through? Headmold looks a bit like Energon Arcee. Paradon medic perhaps?

Convotron wrote:Very cool use of the Drift mold for a Blurr figure. Two things stand out to me. First is the sniper rifle's side grip, which is rare, if not a first, for TF guns(reminiscent of the frequent use of side grips in Gundam beam rifles by the way).
Classics Astrotrain has a side grip on his gun, but he's completely incapable of using it. It's just there for weapon storage in vehicle mode.

Yeah, check out the HFTD albums. Its a Rescue Ratchet repaint to the deluxe figure, just like the did to the voyager.

Hehe, maybe someday Astrotrain will finally be able to reach the side grip of the gun! You can do it, Astrotrain!

Red Alert's head is red in the cartoons, but it's black on the original G1 toy.

is more 'g1-toys' accurate it seems...
i mean,look at universe cyclonus....

Now, down to business about everything Gen-line.
Blurr is great, yeah there should be some kibble improvement here and there, but at least we got him.
Red Alert is nice, but i have the Henkei version which too me its much nicer and has better detailing, but its nice for Hasbro to bring Red Alert out for us and for thoughs who missed the Henkei version and or didnt want to pay the higher price.
Plus i know theres more to come like Jazz, wheeljack and Grapple and Scourge from what im hearing. All i can say is if Scourge is coming out im buying 5 or 6 of this guy.
WFC figures: So far the Megatron and Soundwave look awesome, but Prime and BB doesnt interest me. Maybe only Depections for the WFC line for me.
Even though i swore nothing movie-ish from the HFTD line, but Sea Spray, Payload and Banzaitron look good i think. Sea Spray can fit into my Classic/Gen-line i believe, Payload im turning into Landfill (kitbash) and Banzaitron will be a Shadow warrior version of Bludgeon, like Shadow Cmdr Megs. Just really like Banzaitron colors in alt mode and in bot mode for some reason...
I guess only time will tell what other surprise Hasbro holds for us in the near future.
Until all are one.....

How can you say that! What about people that have just started collecting or people that have a budget! I'm sure most of us like myself have bills, a mortgage and most of all a family to support, not everyone has a disposable income for Transformers, but if you do, that fine im sure all of us wish we had that, but back to the point, Hasbro should make TC for the Gen-line and that way the Seeker line can be complete and people who has budget doesn't have to worry about spending over a certain amount for just one figure.

Supreme Convoy wrote:How is Dirge controversial?
It's because the Dirge and Thrust figures made from what was initially the Classics Starscream mold were meant to be BotCon '07 exclusive. The controversy was over the fact that TakaraTomy released them in the Henkei line. Those figures were further retooled (so that they're different from the BotCon '07 figures), however, and the Generations figures are repaints of what was released in the Henkei line. Edit: to give an example of what I mean, BotCon Dirge was a straight repaint of Classics Ramjet, where as the mold used for Henkei and Gen was given different wings. Nearer to G1 Dirge than what Ramjet's wings would have allowed for.
