"FansProject will start shipping out both Explorer & Munitioner in the first week of August. We find out from the final QC check that two pieces will not perfectly fit all versions when combine into giant robot mode. To keep our level of quality, we had remold and replaces that two pieces for the whole shipment.
We are deeply sorry for the delay and Thank you for your patient!"
Disappointing, but the set should definitely be worth the wait.

Either way, it's all good to me, I've been (somewhat) patiently waiting for a long while now.

My birthday is tomorrow and my mom pre-ordered these sets with the understanding that they would be here in time for said date. If I had known this was going to happen I would've had her cancel the order when we still had the chance and instead spend the money on Figuarts and save these guys for some other occasion.
Worst of all it's also holding back a Henkei Megatron since I had it all put in the pile of loot!

That being said, I would MUCH rather see it delayed so we get a better quality product then have it in my hand right now. Holy crap, this totally gives me a new level of respect for FP. Good on you!

Am I ticked these aren't already on my shelf? Yes.
Was I worried about the delays with not word of why? Yes.
Am I OK with the delays, seeing that we now know of a QC issue that while it won't even effect everyone buying them, but they felt was important enough to delay and correct before shipping. Absolutely.
Kudos to FP for wanting their QC to be that important.
As for ruined. FP isn't some huge corporation that is trying to screw you over, they are a small group of fans like us that banded together to make these projects. How many e-mails do you think these guys are getting every single day? If you got a bad unit, why didn't you just return/exchange it with the retailer you bought it from?

Grats to FansProject for ensuring their products are high quality. I can certainly wait longer for my preorder if it means a better figure. You'd have to be mad to complain about that.

Check them now. My local Z, had 3 of them in the clearance aisle last Thursday. They are tagged at $47.95 but they scan for under $34.

I am so glad that this is the general attitude of this forum with the regards to the delay.
Ruined, parts replacement should be handled by your retailer because they're the ones who sold it to you, they're ones who goals include customer service, and they're ones who made a contract with you (yes, your receipt is a form of contract under law). Not trying to piss you off, but inform you as to who you should be taking your beef with. Also, I like the drawing. Rough, but promising.
Yeah, more kudos for Fansproject making their product worth the price. I really wonder how much they're actually making off of each one sold. The quality is mostly excellent, but can't be cheap at that volume.
