Thank Primus. Maybe I’ll finally have a chance at getting something new for once.

I think there is also the idea of having the figures available for when the film hits Home Video so that cross marketting can happen on that level. And I am seeing Walmarts having new spotlights on these toys with the home release on the way. Ninja Turtles and Dispicable Me also worked that way with the toys.
Anyways, lets have a laugh:

Good news. Grimlock stopped shelfwarming (near me at least). Bad news. Hound started shelfwarming, and stores knew megatron would sell.......

Prolly, but if I didn't order them I'd never find them. That's how it works, yo!

They have had that same stuff for weeks. Only thing new is that dragonstorm.
If it is my local toysrus. They still have two of those planet cybertron toys( repaint of galaxy force primus).
This toysrus has only got in one shipment of mp-10's and only 2 mpm-3 bumblebees.
No mpm-4 optimus prime has been seen.
(Sidenote) this same toysrus also gets in a healthy stock of nintendo switches from time to time.

If they stopped shelfwarming, then they were never really shelf warming in the first place. Shelfwarming is when a toy lingers when the toyline its part of is long gone, thats what makes them so fabled, like Beast Wars Injector. Or AOE Snarl, or the YOTG toys, who I could still find a year ago.
As for Hound, I wouldnt call that shelfwarming either since its still rather recent, only a few months, right? And also, many of those are not the same hounds from when they were first stocked (since those sold well across the board, lots of fans wanted him). And plus he's a popular toy. All he needs is a little sale and I am sure they will sell well, especially through the holiday season. Plus many are still looking for decently priced Hounds, I hope they find them, hes a good toy

Thats still way more than what some toysrus got (which was nothing). Looks like a nice toyrsus, similar to the ones in Canada.

Quantum Surge wrote:Went to check out a Target at Rosemont, IL when my dad and I went to check out Megadeth at the Allstate Arena. The omly new things I found were Allspark Tech figures, the 1 step 6 pack, and the sound masks. Nothing from Wave 2, just Berserkers and Dinobot repaints (do I need to mention them?), and two Leader Primes and Megs (but no Voyagers of them). Very disappointing. Thankfully, I do have plans for a Dreadbot custom (and to get a second spike club since my copy was missing one), so Beserk will be useful again for now.

The whole greater Chicago area is way overstuffed with wave 1. I live in the south burbs and work in the NW burbs. If you are looking for voyagers, the only place out of TRU/Target/Walmart with anything other than Grimlock is the Walmart in Gurnee. They had a mix of waves 2 and 3 there (Hound, Scorn and Nitro).

Wave 3 Voyagers were a total chance find, just one of each on the bottom shelf of a Target - not even a Voyager price tag in that store, which naturally led to me forgetting the different Target price and frankly overpaying - $60AU ($48US) each?! (Not that I really regret it though; dunno if I'd put either of them above Megatron or Hound, that's a post for another day, but damn are they some nice toys.) Wave 2 Voyagers, though? They're everywhere now, Hound outnumbers Grimlock probably 3:2 by this point, but now that I have all the Voyagers I want - i.e. all of them bar Grimmy - I'm not too bothered. I get the feeling Hound and Megs will sell better to kids around the holiday season, and that's what keeps the brand going so it's fine by me .
Now if only I could have some newer Deluxes...

VikingsBlade247 wrote:I live in Missouri and all I have had since April was wave 1. Until a like a month or two ago we got wave 2 voyagers and that's it.
That is exactly how my area has gone, minus the fact that we still have wave 1 voyagers and nothing else. They sold all the 1-steps and legions and discontinued them. The deluxes and voyagers just won't move, and there are tons on the shelf and sitting above the shelf waiting to get a peg spot

william-james88 wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:william-james88 wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:You know, those 40$ deluxes exclusive to TrU? All sold out. Maybe because of the "Sale" that drove back the price at 30$, but still, all sold out.
Can't be scalpers at that price so, people really wanted them and were really willing to pay those prices...
Quite shocking...
Several fans were able to use that 10$ off price law since TRU never bothered printing new tags for that pricepoint (instead using green stickers sometimes, but that wasnt on all of them everywhere).
I tried getting advantage of that too but because there was NO labels under them, they completely shut me down.
Sorry about that.
And since I am on this thread, for anyone who wants a laugh...
Anyone up for paying 40$ for Deluxe Cogman?

Y?
WHY?!
WHY, I AXE YA?
I WANT ONE AS WELL,
BUT THAT'S NO REASON TO LOOSE ŶER BRAINBOX?

Ah thanks! Wow! I may have to get one of those! The Paint apps are amazing! I love the reformatted Backpack into the shield. It's too bad there's no Current Masterpiece of TLK Optimus Prime in the works either by Hasbro and Takara Tomy. Probably have to wait another 10 years for a proper last knight MPM...
Don't get me wrong, I like ThreeA but non-transforming Transformers aren't as fun, cool, or functional as regular Transforming bots. Something about this TLK line is saying Takara is giving it extra special treatment with minor paint app changes, or remodeled parts, ect.. I am wondering if I shouldn't just buy my TLK Figures from Takara.. Anyone able to put a list together of the best of Hasbro VS Takara Tomy on this line? I'd love to go down the list and pick the best either USA or Japanese releases..

You should look more into this. The TLK line from Takara itself offers the exact same figures as the Hasbro ones, they just cost more for us to import. But its the same figures with packaging and everything. All the different ones you see, like the Nemesis is not part of the TLK line. They are part of another line called Movie the Best, not related to it. You can visit the link I wrote above to learn more about that line.

On other Last Knight Hot Rod toy news, the legion class toy is currently available on walmart.com for $4.57 over 50% less than the original price tag of $9.99.

I feel so silly..I can't believe I read the title different. Sheesh. I've been collecting far too long to not have noticed. Thanks. I didn't realize the Nemesis was in that line up. Seems appropriate tho now you mention it. Appreciate the link.

If anyone doesn't know (like me until recently) you can do Click n Collect on Asda stuff online to have it shipped for free to your local Asda if your local one doesn't have the figures in stock or if it's a smaller store that doesn't stock action figures at all. It's how I got Deluxe Hot Rod last week.

They are. But they are based on the flip-N-change Lockdown. I'm not sure if Bee is a new remold because there was a FnC Bee in AoE, but Hotrod definitely is.

Bumblebee is his old one, and Hotrod is a new-head redeco of Lockdown. In the two-pack we are currently discussing, Bumblebee is a redeco and Hot Rod is a new mold that shares a transformation scheme with Lockdown, Crosshairs and Stinger.

It could very well be a redeco, or a separate general retail release among the likes of RiD Starscream. Or just a goof.

I'm sorry I got confused. I thought the stock image was of the Legion two pack, not the one-step changers. I didn't know they were coming

Must have been decided on rather late, as the C4058 is much higher than the latest C35** of some releases like Universal Studios Snarl
