"So according to the estimates for this weekend Transformers only had a 48% dropoff in its second weekend. Harry Potter has dropped 52% from its opening.
Also Potter is up to 207 million after 13 days(once Sunday is over) while Transformers was at 224 million after its 13th day.
Transformers is up to almost 400 million internationally. They've made their money back twice over!"

So what does this mean overall? It looks like Transformers is still going quite strong. With the toys moving off the shelves, and the movie holding its own in theaters after 3 weeks, it's hard for anyone to not call this movie a success!

Actually, the next big day is this Friday when the film is released in UK or Wednesday in France, Germany on 2nd August or 6th in Japan. The DVD is nothing until these MAJOR regions open and provide another $200million odd to the box office total.

Transformers will make over US$500 million, seeing as it still has Western Europe to open in. The Simpsons Movie will cut a huge scythe through the UK opening though.
It'll blow both Transformers and Harry Potter out of the water.

See I don't get comments like this. How does a film that makes twice, or more than its original budget, tank?

I think he was making fun of all the guys that kept saying "it's gonna tank!" when it was smashing records and making tons of money.
Yeah, that's what I was gettin' at.

One man's trash is another mans treasure. Btw you have officially soiled my thread, now I have to take it out back and put it down. It's dirty.

And now, a Random Fun Biology fact: Some dolphins will approach human recreational boats in the open ocean. If people give them what they want(food), they'll keep coming back to the ships. If they're just ignored, they'll eventually go to finding a different source of food. Just saying, is all. ^^;;;

Nor can any large sum of money improve your posts, sir Trypticon.
