We have some more news from JTPrime17. Firstly, we have a listing on Walmart's website for a Legacy voyager Metalhawk. while we had a inner bot toy of Metalhawk in the Titans return line, it was a deluxe. So maybe this being a voyager would mean that they are incorporating some of the shell aspect. We'll see. You can discuss it on our boards here. We also have more info on the upcoming Studo Series 86 core class Rumble. The product descprtion confirms him being blue. Also, his transformation steps make it seem that he is not the same mold as the previous Siege mold, since there are twice as many steps, and he is getting both guns and pile driver accessories. That would compensate for a casette sized toy being sold along in a core class package.

So far I only have Netflix Soundwave, but really want more minions. Don't really care if the cassettes are a bit bigger...I even toyed with the idea of using KO MP Cassettes...

Wave 2 of Legacy has a soundwave rerelease, so it coincides well with having this care class bot available on shelves at the same time
Also, 3.5 is in all descriptions for the size class, not indicative of how big this specific toy will be.

Edit: Dang, I'd forgotten how inconsistently sized Rumble and Frenzy are.

BLIX007 wrote:Wow a 3.5" Rumble!! Guessing he will not be able to transform down enough to pack him inside Netflix Soundwave, bummer. At least he comes with pile drivers and weapons
Why not? Eject has more articulation then the siege cassettes while also being compatible. 3.5 is the class scale not the size of the figure. Buzzworhty Bumblebee with spike is also labeled for n his detail at 3.5 and he’s smaller then that. What’s the point of releasing a cassette if they’re not compatible with with a character who can fit them that will be on the shelf at the same time. Siege soundwave.

I thought about that, but the problem I have with that reasoning is that his arms don't have the logo for the Red Cross- they simply have red crosses.
You can't copyright the shape of a cross, which is just two perpendicular lines, and you can't copyright the color red.
Hasbro can simply say that they're only red crosses, not the logo for the Red Cross, which is completely truthful.

If not with the height, then the overall “bulk”, or in this case, being a bit on the trim side so that his proportions aren’t stubby like the Siege cassettes.
Not to mention, packed with 2 guns & pile drivers (& especially assuming they have basic articulation)—
to keep that all at the $11.99 price point, I think he’s going to be on the small side of the Core class.
Which is fine with me… Hastak has done enough right in the last few years that I’m thinking this will be a good, fun little figure.

What's funny is that I haven't even gotten around to opening my Rumble Wingthing set, so I guess I should have just waited. lol

He will be the same size as Eject but with more accessories.

To further derail, did anybody else see the Darkmount listing?

TFW2005 wrote:It’s time for yet another Transformers leak, this time from a different source – Amazon has supplied us with with a new Legacy Leader listing for Darkmount, AKA Straxus.
Interestingly the listing notes that he will be released on October 1, 2022 rather than 2023 like the other recent leaks. Whether this is true or some sort of error/placeholder remains to be seen. Other than that, we have no further details at the moment.
Take this as a rumor for now, but you can check it out and share your thoughts on the boards.
Update: TFW has been made aware that this may in fact be a mislabelled store listing for the upcoming Legacy Leader Dragon Megatron figure. We advise taking it with a grain of salt for now until further clarification is received.
Personally, I'd be 100% in favour of a new Straxus over TM2 Megatron. What would be involved to upscale him into Leader Class though

Yes, and purposefully chose to ignore it since it is misinformation.

I'm glad the SS86 is a voyager because it's a take back to the original's size.
Transforming both into bike mode is trickier than it appear at first glance. For the G1, there's a hidden double hinge joint inside the engine block. You must push it "up" for the bot mode, and "down" for the bike mode. As for the SS86, I forgot to use the hinge joint of the gaz tank for bike mode. This simple missed step made the whole transformation seems impossible.
Still, both bikes looks bad-ass and silly at the same time.
Speaking of silliness, can SS86 WG ride G1 WG?
Not perfect, but yes!
How about the opposite?
Well, surprisingly yes! The G1 bot can even hold onto the SS86's bike handles!

I also got my hands on Junkyard. First experience with the mold. He is pretty dang neat. i appreciate how chunky he is, and I love the tooling they did for the mold. He is a lot of fun. The headsculpt is also really good

They mentioned on one of the livestreams that they didn't yet know they could make core class figures, so they included the mini-figs as a little something

Oh ok. so I take it then that we can expect a SS'86 Daniel to follow now? As a retool (ish) of Spike?

My thoughts exactly! I don't see the same pegs/holes, but that could be because of the bad image.

How would it be any different from Spike?
Anyways, I find it's kinds of crazy that Wheelie gets this many figures. And unlike other toys, like Perceptor where it's incrementally getting to the show accurate not headmaster version, we already had a G1 accurate Wheelie in TR. With this release we now have 3 different molds for G1 accurate Wheelies in the same scale released in the past few years, two of them transforming, and all in mainline releases. All the while, Optimus Prime himself is stuck using the same base mold for 4 mainlines in a row, even though it gives him vestigial parts.
While I get the fiddliness of TR Wheelie, I will keep that toy over this one. I really like the clear plastic window and the fact that someone can actually ride in him. They really went above and beyond for that little toy

That's what I thought, as writing. That's why I opted for "retool (ish)". As a smaller human head would be all I could think of to separate the two.
A friend of mine bought the upgrade kit for Grimlock & Wheelie. So it will be interesting to compare that Wheelie 2.0 to this upcoming Core Class one.
But, yeah. That is a lot of effort over the last few years. For arguably the worst '86 Movie character.

Kind of weird going from a line like TR where I'd spend money to get a better deco/version of a toy or even both versions to not even wanting a toy in a line.

Tr wheelie looks great, and was the best version before this new one. I'd stick with tr if I already had it, seeing what an insignificant charecter Wheelie really is.

The tabs on my TR copy are too thick to properly transform him into alt-mode, which I thought was a universal problem with the mold. I was really happy with that figure at the time and plan to hold onto him, but this still looks like it'll be an upgrade for me, but then I don't have the Legends deco.

He was great in headmasters....ok...maybe not, but he was kind of a main character...oh wait that's still not a good thing. But even then compared to the humping robot version in baynus...poor wheelie.
