As for the waves, in my area there's no voyagers to be found. My Target is swimming in Galvatrons and Ultra Magni, and my Wal-Mart is drowning in Grindors and Slags, as well as the reissues of the original BW toys.

Good thing I can get both.
Speaking of Tigatron, mine seems to be stuck in the FedEx hub in North Carolina for some reason. It was supposed to arrive yesterday.

Possibly... unless there were any Rhinox sightings (Tigatron wave 4's wavemate).
We can't use that for any added certainty or evidence since lots of places are seeing restocks of wave 3 which also has Rhinox. The person did say they saw Rhinox and Tigatron on the shelf too, but there's no telling which wave that Rhinox is from. It could simply be wave 3 and 5 on the shelf with Cyclonus sold. Or it could be that everything that was held up is going to shelves now including restock of wave 3, and wave 4 and 5. No way of knowing right now.
Rodimus Prime wrote:Does he? Is Blaster more popular than Tigatron? Or is it just that Tigatron was available online earlier, and most people got him already through preorders?william-james88 wrote:and since Blaster has a bigger demand
Yes to both. Tigatron does have preorders so the fans who wanted him no matter the cost and whatnot have their preorder. And he's shipping from retailers now. Blaster is not shipping now and there are no preorders on Pulse or Amazon so odds are if a fan is hunting for a voyager right now, it's for Blaster.
But also, I do believe that Blaster is more popular simply because he is RIDICULOUSLY popular all on his own. I have no explanation, just the fact. After his G1 toy was rereleased a few times, he still won that reissue contest. I remember I was shocked. Not only was he reissued but even his original G1 figure is rather easy to find. And since he doesn't come with a cassette, and his gun is very large, a complete G1 blaster is not hard not find and not as expensive as other complete G1 figures.
By all this, I just meant that there is lots of G1 Blaster figures out there and yet there was still demand for more of him, enough to outbeat Skywarp.
Also, and this is just a cute story, Blaster is ridiculously popular in my household too. My son was 3 and when he wanted to watch the 86 Transformers movie he would ask to watch "the movie with blaster".

Oh man, please take a pic next time, would love to see how fully stocked your shelves are. From what I read, it seems you guys are seeing more stocked shelves now than in the past years (granted, not a very diverse lineup though).
As for the size difference between Blaster and Soundwave, I am almost positive that it reflects the G1 show. The blaster toy was way bigger and while that size difference was toned down, he was still drawn bigger than many bots in the show.
Oh and another interesting point regarding Blaster and Tigatron, neither are legacy characters. Meaning their names and identities or character themes were not reused across different shows, nor the films or other media. We got Tigatron again only recently in the WFC show but that was just a throwback/redo of Beast Wars, not that big a departure.

We do not know how this toy will be released or if it's even coming out, it was not part of any rumoured exclusive list for 2022. Here is a link the original Buzz Saw's gallery if you want to see more of that toy:

Even if old character models show that he and Soundwave should be the same height, I always thought of Blaster being a really tall robot... Almost as tall as Prime.
So for me, I think this version is pretty close to perfect.
Can't wait to get him, even if it's in Legacy packaging.

Well it's really just leader class. Everything below that is crickets. A couple of SS deluxes, no more. But I'll take a few tomorrow. I'm going to start checking both stores regularly for Tigatron, since I was late for the preorders. If I see Blaster, he will be an in-hand decision.william-james88 wrote:please take pics next time, would love to see how fully stocked your shelves are.

Not that I recall, it's more just an assumption of "they made Soundblaster from Soundwave so they'll make Twincast from Blaster." In my humble opinion, it's worth tracking BOTH. They look awesome together and are each pretty much perfect toys.

TBH I think it depends on the version you want, Earth Mode or Cybertron. As G1 fan I prefer the Earth Mode to having Cyberton writing on him. So I passed on Seige version. Of course limited space and saving Money also played a role in this decision.

Welcome to the forums! It depends on what your preference is; if you like Cybertronian vehicle modes more than Earth ones, get the Siege version, but if you'd rather have an Earth car mode get the Walgreens exclusive one. You'll probably have better luck findng the Walgreens version as well, because the Siege version is a couple of years old now and may be more difficult to get hold of.
On the topic of Core Hot Rod, I don't hate it. Yeah it's not Masterpiece or Studio Series quality, but it looks like something a 6-year-old would enjoy playing with. If I collected Cores I would probably get one.

Speaking of which, we are way late into the year. I know Pulse had a very limited quantity for a short time, but still no sightings at Walgreens... Probably stuck on a boat somewhere

Ehe... Not to burst anyone's bubble, but my local Walgreens is busy resetting the aisles for the holidays, and unless Transformers gets a special section, you may not see Red Alert in stores: I didn't spot any tags for them on the shelves.

I could also be completely misremembering, but I swear there was something about how Rewind fans would get him eventually which turned into Twincast might be coming. Oh well, now we have rumors of SG Blaster which might be the actual way we get Rewind as opposed to Twincast

Fan's hopes turn into rumors way too easily. Anyone who's had the verbal chain message experiment in school (or watched the latter half of Madagascar 2) will know what I mean.

They won't have tags for Red Alert himself, but they should have tags or a place for WCF Deluxes in the regular toy aisle. That is where all the previous ones have been in my stores. For whatever reason Walgreens waits to put them out until they reset the store for Christmas, but they just put them in the regular toy section in the same spot as the regular WFC deluxes.

Walgreens has them. When Hasbro got them (and EB Games got him), Walgreens got him too. Inventory isn't kept by Hasbro themslves unless it's unsold toys, and in this case every single toy destined for distribution is sold (since it's exclusive). So when the toy was ready for distribution, it was sent to all retailers. So it's in the retialer's hands.
We see this with exclusives a lot. A retailer will have a bunch of product stuck in a warehouse and due to issues with logistics can't bring it to shelves/consumers. It's happened that if they can't figure it out in time, they just dump their stock to another retailer. Walmart did that with their TLK exclusives a few years back and Amazon canada did that with the coneheads, which pissed me off.

Walgreens, The siege one is really bad with it's mismatched whites and the alt modes really a bit of a failure at being Earth or Cybertronian. I dislike the bot mode anyways with the lack of a neck and squarenss of it but Earth mode Red Alert and some of the other repaints such as tigertracks or netflix deepcover pull it off a bit better due to their coloring.

Scamper looks great and that is an amazing feature (especially after the failure to do the same with SIEGE Brunt). However, this feature makes the need for another reissue of T30 Metroplex all the more urgent because with him costing what he does on eBay right now... most who don't already have him won't be able to take advantage of it - unless there's a reissue.

Yeah, reissuing Metroplex would be a good selling point for Scamper (not to mention Metroplex) and it wouldn't even require any new engineering. I would like to see him updated with G1 aesthetic instead of Aligned, and with CW ports and TR and WFC base connectors, but I specifically mentioned T30 because that already exists and is what the pics from this reveal advertise Scamper as being able to connect to.

Yeah that's why I said it would be easy for Hasbro to rerelease that one. No extra engineering needed. Yeah, it does on the left, middle and right are regular Omega Supreme. Also interesting that the file is dated as November, could be hearing something about that soon if it's happening.
I like the folder titled "TRA_ARMADASTA...OLD_V2" Which I assume means Armada Starscream mold version 2. I'm just surprised they internally refer to it that way.
Another folder is named "GENERATIONS - GATE D...ATE". Speculate away on that one.
OK, back to the actual news, does Slammer just sit there? There's only one useful peg hole where it's sitting and it doesn't really match up with anything on him.

I only want a T30 Metroplex reissue IF they fix the hips. If they're not going to do that then forget it. I am a bit disappointed that they made the effort for Slammer to combine with Metroplex, but not Sixgun from Siege.

Not $50 cool though.
And either i’m doing something wrong, or the clearance of the tires and the arm panels is non existent. The front tires scrape against the panels in truck mode, and Road Ranger’s chest seems to protrude a bjt too low past the tires and hits the ground.

I popped his head off, and since mine was not well-glued, I was able to pry apart the left and right halves with little trouble. (The gap in his chin is a great leverage point.) The sides of his head are held together by two pegs, the smaller of which is contributing to the misalignment. (His face is a very tiny piece of plastic slotted in between; gotta make sure you don't lose it when disassembled.) I snipped off the smaller peg and carefully trimmed less than a millimetre of plastic from the rear edge of the cup for his neck-ball to create the tiniest bit of wiggle-room for realigning the left and right sides. I was able to get the front of his helmet to line up a bit more evenly, and after carefully gluing everything back together, I also repainted the silver portions on his forehead. (Mine was a shade darker on one side than the other, making the unevenness even more obvious.) It's not a perfect fix. The asymmetry of the molds is still clear when viewing the back of his head, but the front doesn't look nearly as janky as when I first unpacked him.
I still don't get how Hasbro's QC could blow it this badly, but at least now I can look at Jackpot without feeling he was a wasted purchase.
