In this same investors meeting, Hasbro also talked about another initiative which no one has brought up so far: the 5 language packaging initiative. Right now, for North America, there are either 1 or 3 languages on the box (English or English/Spanish/French). The lack of other languages means surplus inventory cannot be sent overseas to countries that would need additional languages. However, with more languages we could have surplus product being sent to wherever it may be needed. This can work both ways. A surplus of toys in as non English speaking place could then be sent to the US if there is a demand for a particular product. The 5 languages were not divulged.
This was discussed during the investors meeting which you can hear by clicking here.

Here we go again
AFAIK, right now, on the EU and US versions combined, we have:
- English
- French
- Spanish
- Portugese
- German
5 languages total. Mind you, that German could be replaced with a more major language. For those curious, Hasbro has overdone it in the past: during Prime the EU packaging had a record of 13 languages:
- English
- French
- German
- Dutch
- Spanish
- Portugese
- Italian
- Swedish
- Danish
- Greek
- Polish
- Turkish
- Russian

Pretty sure thats what they are going for. So that they could supply europe and north america with the exact same toys. Especially now that Smiths is being more aggressive in Hasbro toys across europe.

Having non-American languages on products sold in the US is not that odd by the way: on some I spotted (Google Translate bad) Dutch on the tags, which is the last language I'd expect.

Hopefully. That would remove an excuse my Wife's family can use to buy me stuff I'd like, opposed to the stuff they send now.
Or, you know, just order stuff to ship direct to us rather than to their Quebec address.
Honestly thou, I could see English, French, Spanish, a fourth Western language and Chinese. Takara will just take the same package and put Japanese stickers on them.

Not needed, as they still print their own for Generations and Studio Series.

Great to see the Irish Flag on the Map

Lately, all the Toys R Us MPM toys and other exclusive skipped Quebec for that reason. You can't even order online. It used to be, they fixed it, then the bull came back for reasons. I just hope that the 5 languages packaging will be definitive and universal.

Conspicuous absence of the UK flag, though. Although, as both a Transformers and Dropmix fan, this does perhaps explain the utterly terrible distribution we experience.

Particularly in the east, South Korea. It will never see a single new Transformers show and Cyberverse and Generations toys, never ever! Because they have their own transforming robots now!

The image is just a stock image to make the article prettier, no need to analyse it.
