First Look at Beast Alliance Wheeljack from Rise of the Beasts Toyline

Well at the very least, that Rhinox has a different deco. There doesn't look to be any silver paint on the tech details in beast mode and the horns are painted off white instead of silver while the legs and body are cast in a different color plastics.

It could've been worse. It could've been just some minor paint detail changes on the sword and the eyes like the retail version of Lionizer and Dazzlestrike. Other than the effect part that is.

Will Toys R Us and Walmart Canada even bother ordering these?

Well this sucks, didn't think they would double dip with the Battle Masters. At least it's Rhinox, one of the best.

We have some more images of voyager class Optimus Primal, this time from the @transformers.snapshots page on Instagram. These show a comparison with Kingdom Optimus Primal. While both are of the same character and the same size, it is interesting to see how they are also completely different toys in terms of sculpt, detail, look and even have a different transformation, from what we see in the video below. Of course, the Rise of the Beasts one looks woefully in need of colour, though it is trying to use the colour palette of the live action film.

We also see that it is only slightly shorter than voyager Optimus Prime. There will be a Studio Series release of ROTB Optimus Primal as well, which has yet to be revealed.

Thanks to Movie Primal, the Kingdom Primal looks like a million bucks standing side by side. I guess it's true that you should have an uglier friend next you in pictures to make you look better.

I might get ol grey butt and pretend he's a variant from a grey world lol.

I'll get a RotB Optimus Primal for sure but I'll wait for the SS leader to come out first. Then I'll decide which one is better.

Just realized something, not sure why it didn't occur to me until just now.




That SS Leader Optimus Primal is going to end up being quite a giant considering these RotB line figures are quite a bit smaller and less complex than their SS counterparts. I got the impression that Primal is bigger than Prime in the movie and is certainly going to be a bulkier figure than the SS RotB Voyager Prime since it's based on the SS Bee Movie figure. RotB Prime and Primal are average sized Voyagers while Bee Movie SS Prime is a fairly large Voyager by todays standards.



I imagine SS Leader Primal will have things like internal weapon storage and such.

News from the Rise of the Beasts toyline just keeps piling. In the world right now, the two waves of voyager class figures are being released simultaneously. Which makes sense as all these toys were produced last year and are only now making their way to retailers all at once. We saw that voyagers Primal and Prime were found in Mexico and now we have Pre (repack) and Rhinox found in Australia at KMart. That same sighting also shows us more single packed deluxe figures, like Bumblebee who we had only seen in that three pack. The images below come from Tf fan Ratchet 208.

In other sightings news, a new Mirage toy was found in the US and on E-bay. It is part of the Battle Changers assortment, which are similar to the mid sized Authentics toys.

These photos are actually really nice, comparing Kingdom and the other Mainline & SS figures for ROTB. With these coming off Instagram, my page per say @transformers.snapshots , i really would have expected some mention or recognition. I have posted there ALL my photos for mainline primal and even Optimus along with ALL the other mainline and SS. I do Hope this can be edited with a proper Mention. Much appreciated!.

Do you all remember the Beast Mode Bumblebee toy that was revealed a little while back? It was Bumblebee in his Camaro form but he had extra bird bits for a "super" robot mode. Well, we know an Optimus was coming too and now we finally have images.

Of course, no surprise, the beast mode acts as extra parts to create a super robot mode with beast elements. In this case, it is a white lion, which is a great choice given the existence of Leo Prime. You can see the images below. You'll notice that Prime here has the same alt mode we've seen for most of the line, which is an off road truck.

It's hard to keep up with this new Rise of the Beasts toyline with there being so much product all coming out at the same time across the globe. When it comes to the US, almost everything has been released, now that the voyagers and flex changers have been found. Both the voyagers (which includes Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal) and the flex changers (the one steps) were found at Walmarts across the nation.

You'll also notice the absence of the main villain, Scourge, in these more kid friendly lines. Well, there's more of him coming. We now have images of Battle Changers Scourge (simple conversion toy between scout and deluxe class) and Beast Changer Scourge (with Scorponok armor). We also have images of the rest of the single released deluxes. So now you have even more options to buy everyone's favourite Bespectacled Autobot, Wheeljack.

Those Scourge toys look pretty fun!

Both of these Scourges looks very GOOD. I'd buy them if my local stores bother having them on their shelves.

Canada is the only country respecting the street date for some reason, so cone next week we should be seeing a lot of new stuff on shelves.

The Rise of the Beasts news just keeps on truckn'. We had showed images of Beast Mode Optimus Prime and Battle Changers Scourge earlier. Well now we have more stock images of them in good definition.
We also have the stock images for the deluxe toys, the Voyager toys, Battle Changers Mirage and the Wheeljack two pack

Man, these figures are looking GOOD. It's funny when you remember that a lot of these figures were supposed to be out BEFORE the Studio Series releases. I wonder if I'll find the SS figures unnecessary once I get more in hand.

IDK if these are for little kids I guess it's OK. I just hope they make something better looking for serious (adult) collectors. Worst case will have to wait for 3rd or 4th party production to make something that is worth attention.

Some very "TF Prime Beast Hunters" vibes coming from that "Beast Mode" Optimus. Right down to that can-opener sword...

This the third time we've seen a Prime toy with that truck mode and I really hope he has it in the film. Also I'm liking this beast Prime more then the Bumblebee. I could see myself getting this one.

Fellow Seibertronian Whirlkick has found some Rise of the Beasts toys in the UK at Smyth's. You can read their report below. We also have reports of the 2 Beast Mode Bumblebee and Optimus toys out at Smyth's in Gillingham, first posted here by TFMJ where we can see them next to various other ROTB toys like the Smash Changers.

"The RoTB mainline figures are now available in different places the UK, such as Smyth's and The Entertainer. It seems the embargo date was April 10th so the floodgates have now opened!

The figures are showing as available on the Smyth's website, which includes figures like the mainline deluxes. When I was at Smyth's in Watford today, none of the figures were out on the shelves yet, as they hadn't yet allocated space for the new figures as there's so many of them and so little shelf space for Transformers. The UK community should keep an eye out for TF sales for non-ROTB figures at Smyth's!
I had to ask someone working there to get the figures from the back for me, which they did. I bought the mainline deluxe Bee and the Optimus/Chainclaw pack. I've included some photos, including a side by side of mainline Bee with SS Bee."

So unless something odd happened behind the scenes during the movie delay, one can expect this Bulkhead-esque mode for Prime to show up in the movie at some point.

Now, if I were a gambling man, I'd say Legacy Bulkhead might end up being used as the basis for this Prime in Studio Series much like AirRazor.

Also, yes this is harkening back had to Beast Hunters Prime, which kind of make sense, in the movie context.

I just hope we get an actual Voyager or Leader version of this in SS. It looks fairly interesting.

Smash Changers Optimus Prime uses this altmode too.

Also that lion head and the blue wing things are giving this Prime a Brave vipe. A little bit.

For standard retail (and non "collector") releases, this is honestly shaping up to be a pretty good selection!
Considering how fiddly the SS figures can be, it's pretty nice to have cheaper and simpler figures available too.

Me, myself, and I will probably wait for said SS releases but I think these are some solid choices for the youngsters or people who want something cheaper + simpler.
