The appeal would first be for those who missed out on the Netflix Soundwave and want some extra figures for the price they'd pay on eBay.
Or for those who missed out on all 3.
Or the hardcore who don't mind triple-dipping.
I wouldn't mind getting Shockwave and Soundwave, but i already have 2 of ER Screamer so unless it's a new Starscream it'll be a hard sell.

Well, 2 wants out of 3 ain't that bad.
Just compare to what you'd have to pay if you had to hunt down Soundwave and Shockwave on the secondary market.

I'm sure the extra Starscream can be easily sold or traded.

But like he said, the Nemesis Bridge 3-pack with Soundwave, Shockwave, and Megatron is still a thing and still available.

But one is an import from :TAKARATOMY: , the other is "domestic" by :HASBRO: .
The shipping and paying for that extra throne will make a difference.

Unless I'm mistaken?

Doesn't matter when both are only available online.

Some have already ordered the Nemesis Bridge set. Where's the appeal in this new 3-pack for them?

Why import the Nemesis Bridge set when it's sold by Pulse, BBTS, TFSource, Entertainment Earth, etc.?

Yeah this may be the opportunity I take to have Shockwave. I’ll take Soundwave since my NF version is still sealed, and who knows, maybe this new Starscream will replace my ER version. It would be cool if this used the SS86 articulated hands.
But as always, appearances will be the determining factor.
And I won’t be surprised if there are a couple little nuggets to up the appeal factor. Such as something like Buzzsaw instead of Lazerbeak. Maybe a pistol mode Megatron accessory.

Keyword: some.

For those who didn't, they have a choice.
And the choice will be mainly for the PRICE. For how much will this new 3 pack will go and will it have extras like the chair for the first trio? No one knows.

Also, any :TAKARATOMY: "exclusives" are "imports", whenever you can buy them "locally" or not. It's being reflected in the price.

Personally I would prefer the Dramatic Capture set, but it's on hold due to budget concerns. If the price doesn't go sky high in the next 4 months, I'll get it. If it does, I'll see about this set. I really only want Soundwave and Shockwave, but I would rather have another Megatron than another Starscream.

And like -Kanrabat- said, the price, the price, the price.

While I would rather have Megatron than Starscream, I don’t find that ER mold worth it, no matter what the deco is.
With the DC set, I also didn’t love that Soundwave; for me I had preordered that for Shockwave. Who imo looks incredibly good. But I canceled because it still wasn’t worth it.
Assuming there’s less $$ worth of accessories in this new set, if it ends up being $80, I’m more likely to go for it. Of course, that is if I really like the look of Shockwave, and the others are good too.

If you only want Shockwave, there's some special edition release in "toon colors" (or comics colors?) as a voyager without the extra Siege tidbits.
You may want to look that one up instead.

Lots of assumptions going around that this will be an Earth mode 3 pack and not an "Origin" pack made with Siege molds.

I'm not against having a clean version of those molds and maybe a Shockwave with clear purple fist/gun.

Transformers Legacy United Versus Pack Tarantulas

Figures from the Transformers Legacy United Versus are being sold early on e-bay. And one of those is the orange Tarantulas. This gives us some new in hand images and a really good look at the face. This is based on the early marketing material for Tarantulas along with his packaging art.

Why didn't they simply give it a new name, making it a different character? Even as a prime character, repainted as an unused prototype it doesn't hold that much "must-buy potential", IMHO...

That was the original plan. The figure was originally going to be sold in Legacy Evolution proper, with the new name of Chimeracon. But then it was decided to simply do a package refresh of the normal Tarantulas figure instead, with this one getting relegated to the 4-pack and being re-characterized as the original version of Tarantulas from the toyline before the cartoon came along, in which he was a ninja character.

Considering the recent Commander UM, the rumored Commander OP, Springer being Commander I think I might just wait for a Commander Megs with a solid deco. Which is why I'm not torn up about missing out on that 3-pk.

I also hope that one day Soundwave is given a proper G1 specific mold and looks great. I already have Siege Shockwave but I've yet to open it up because I'm not quite sold on the deco. I would definitely take one that's closer to G1 colors.

Hence none of the two 3-pks really appeal to me overall. So ultimately I'm still waiting for solid versions of Astortrain, Megatron, Octane, Shockwave and Soundwave.
As well as Powerglide, Seaspray and Windcharger.

If EE ever ships Beachcomber and after Pulse ships Gears then I think I'll pretty much be done if all the above can happen within the next 2-4 years.

The orange is the only part that's right (aside from the absence on the Spider head). The Bio card shows orange, pale green and chrome. No purple. Also the opposite face is all chrome with a red visor.
